This compact, deciduous shrub has clusters of pretty white flowers in May and June which are followed by rich black berries in autumn. As the berries ripen, the leaves take on fiery shades of orange and red for a truly spectacular display.
Known as Black Chokeberry, these tart Aronia berries are edible and are commonly made into jam, compotes or added to fruit pies.
